The Right to Family

When the border was drawn on the Korean peninsula 60 years ago, hundreds of thousands of family members were dislocated and divided in the chaos of war.

Six decades have passed yet they still remain separated as the issue of family reunions often become hostage to politics; the ups and downs of relations between the North and the South. 

And, now there is a growing consensus in the global community that it needs to be treated properly as a human issue, a humanitarian issue, but above all a human rights issue.

This documentary aims to find out what kind of models there are out for a successful family reunion on the Korean peninsula and what kind of international cooperation can be made.
